Paula qualified in 2008,where her background lies in district nursing, lead community matron and advanced practice nursing, where she holds clincs in long term conditions and respiratory care. In addition, Paula enjoys being part of MPAs nursing team, encouraging their development in practice, and she is passionate about promoting high quality, patient care, and reducing inequalitues in health. Paula was delighted to to be offered the opportunity to join MPA board as director of nursing and executive lead for Infection prevention and control. She undertakes regular audits and training to encourage safe clinical practice at all our surgeries. Paula enjoys gardening, needlepoint, shopping and studying. Paula is also a registered dental nurse with the GDC, assisting in dental implants under sedation at weekends.
Dr Spinks has been a Medway GP for over 30 years following his GP training on the Medway VTS. He developed an interest in NHS administration and politics whilst still training and has had a broad range of experience in hospital and primary care administration. He has been an LMC member for much of his career and he is currently Vice Chair having been Chair for 3 years. He also advises a National Charity and the Association For Continence Advice. Julian lectures and has done media work for over 20 years. He regularly appears on BBC and ITV and is KMTVs Health Expert.
Lynn Johnston - Managing Director Lynn Johnston, MBA CMgr MCMI Lynn joined MPA 1st February 2021 as Primary Care Director and has been MPA’s Managing Director since 2023. Lynn has 20 plus years extensive experience of managing a diverse range of acute and community NHS services across Kent and Medway. During her career within the NHS Lynn has held numerous management and leadership positions. Lynn has recently completed an MBA in Leadership Practice and Level 7 Senior Leader Masters Degree.
